I will soon be setting up a company for retail, wholesale and foreign trade and am looking for an ERP system to support me. As a new company, software costs will play a not insignificant role in the software selection process. A price concept that takes into account low turnover at the beginning of the business activity would suit me. A modular structure of the software that can be scaled as required and thus successively fulfills my requirements seems desirable.

I have the following requirements for the software:

  • ERP system for retail (cash book/cash register system), wholesale and foreign trade (customs applications, etc.)
  • Materials management (determination of requirements, procurement, warehousing, sales, distribution)
  • Rental orders
  • Repair and service orders
  • Production orders (manufacture and assembly; no or few basic or primary products)
  • MDE, warehouse, parts lists (batch and serial numbers)
  • Finances & controlling
  • Own function or external connection to:
    • Document management --> DMS
    • Master data management --> CRM/SRM/PIM
    • Marketing --> CMS
    • Store systems, AI software, shipping...

Initially, one software workstation is required, but five will be needed in the future.
