Document signatures

What is meant by Document signatures?

Application of signatures to documents to ensure their authenticity, integrity and binding nature.

Digital signatures: These are cryptographic signatures that are created using encryption techniques. Digital signatures offer a higher level of security as they not only confirm the identity of the signatory, but also ensure that the document has not been altered since it was signed.

Biometric signatures: In some cases, biometrics, such as fingerprints or signatures with a digital pen, can be used for electronic signatures.

Token-based signatures: These are signatures that are generated through the use of security tokens or smart cards. The user authenticates themselves using the token to generate the signature.
