We specialize in ventilation systems, building complete installations, but we also oversee renovations and handle maintenance and repairs. To support our work, we use business software that is also suitable for mobile use while visiting clients. In particular, our current scheduling system is too complicated and inflexible for our needs. We urgently need a better solution for our customer service.
In this context, we are evaluating whether to simply add the necessary features to our existing software or to completely reorient our approach and implement a new comprehensive solution. However, migrating the existing data is a major challenge that we approach with caution. If we decide to add only the scheduling functionality, an interface to the existing system will be required because the technicians need access to the system information stored there when processing orders.
If we opt for a standalone scheduling solution, we will need 5–10 software workstations in-house and approximately 35 mobile software workstations for the technicians (for tablets). If we decide on a new comprehensive solution, approximately 20 additional software workstations will be required.
