T-accounts

What is meant by T-accounts?

"T-accounts" are a specific type of table / accounts. They are named after their appearance, as they have the shape of a "T", with the left side representing debit entries and the right side representing credit entries. T-accounts are used to visualize postings and track the impact of transactions on different accounts.
