Chemical industry company seeks product information management software

We are a chemical industry company and are looking for product information management (PIM) software for our portfolio of more than 300 products. The powerful PIM system will serve to centralize our product data for cleaning agents and disinfectants. The aim of the project is to create a “single source of truth” that will serve as the basis for the upcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP) and reflect our complex regulatory requirements. It is particularly important for us to connect to our existing ERP system, from which the primary data will be obtained. We are a series, variant, and contract manufacturer.

The software we are looking for should meet the following requirements:

• Data logic and inheritance
• Maintain information at the recipe level and automatically transfer it to various sales items (containers, private labels)
• Independent and flexible adaptation of products, segments, and dimensions (e.g., ingredients, pH values)
• Regulatory requirements and documents
• Extensive functions for implementing the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and the Packaging Ordinance
• Support for time-controlled versioning (validity date for data sets)
• Generation of standard documents (e.g., information sheets) from product data
• Interfaces to the ERP system and to the label creation software (automated data transfer)
• IT infrastructure and security
• Preferably a cloud solution, but on-premises would also be possible (if cloud, then hosting in Germany/EU, with ISO 27001 certification of the provider or operator)
• Fully multi-client and multilingual (at least German and English)
• Cost framework and implementation
• Information about onboarding/implementation costs and ongoing license costs
• It is of course also interesting to know which services (e.g., regulatory updates) are included in the license
