InstantOLAP is a fully-fledged ROLAP tool that has been developed entirely in Java and can therefore be operated on almost all systems regardless of platform.
The system is operated and the information is analyzed using an Internet browser. This means that no installations on the user's desktop are necessary and multi-dimensional reporting on the internet/intranet is possible. All information is loaded directly from the data sources, whether database, ERP system data warehouse or other sources, and entered into a genuine multidimensional model in real time. InstantOLAP does not require a copy of the data sources in its own separate data pool (databases, data warehouse), but reads this directly from the data sources during the query and presents it online in the web browser.
