Weighing laboratory seeks SQL database-based industry solution

We are looking for an SQL database-based industry solution for our weighing laboratory, as our old database system is reaching its limits in terms of data processing capacity. We also expect the new solution to deliver improved performance in terms of speed and easier handling.

The solution should meet the following requirements:

• Optimize search functions
• Optimize check functions
• Optimize evaluation functions
• Interfaces or integration of additional applications (invoices, weighing technology, telephone system, text scanner, data transmission/reports/email dispatch, photos, etc.)
• Legally compliant, legally secure archiving
• Historization
• Calendar function (deadline compliance)
• Automatic updating and data backup during operation
• Authorization concept or assignment of employee rights
• Modular structure (adjustments and extensions required)
• Network-compatible
• Support for mobile devices (tablets)
• In-house support should be possible
• Currently used MS Access 2010 database should be migrated
• Consulting regarding the migration of the Access database to an SQL database and the possible adjustments and optimizations in this context for a future-proof, expandable database
• Grown special application, maintained and adapted in-house

Software workstations are currently planned for approximately 30 users. The front end is client-side, the back end is server-side. Work is carried out in an MS Windows system environment.
