What is nectar LMS?

nectar LMS is a flexible learning management platform for digital training and continuing education in companies and organizations. With this software, you can map out a variety of learning and qualification processes on a single central platform—from traditional e-learning courses and personalized learning paths to in-person, hybrid, and online seminars, as well as competency management, certifications, and comprehensive analytics.

With nectar LMS, we aim to make organizing learning as easy as possible for you. An intuitive user interface supports both learners and administrators in their daily tasks. At the same time, you can customize the platform to fit your individual processes and requirements and integrate it into existing system landscapes. Interfaces and standards such as REST API, SCORM, xAPI, and LTI facilitate integration with external applications as well as existing HR or ERP systems.

A key focus is on automating recurring tasks. Course assignments, reminders, and the issuance of certificates can all be automated. This reduces administrative overhead while still allowing you to maintain a clear overview of learning progress, qualifications, and training initiatives at all times. Comprehensive reporting and learning analytics features help you evaluate learning activities and strategically refine your training offerings.

Seminar organization is also directly integrated into nectar LMS. You can plan in-person events, webinars, and hybrid formats; manage dates, rooms, resources, instructors, and participant lists; and account for capacity limits or waitlists. Recurring events and block seminars can also be scheduled. A Microsoft Teams integration supports the organization of online sessions, while participants in in-person events can check in and out using a QR code, for example.

To provide varied learning experiences, nectar LMS supports various interactive and collaborative learning formats. Gamification elements such as leaderboards, rewards, and progress indicators can boost motivation. H5P enables interactive learning content, while forums, chat, whiteboards, quizzes, and surveys offer additional opportunities for discussion and knowledge assessment. Courses can also be accessed on mobile devices and, in some cases, offline.

AI support for learning and administration

The integrated AI features of nectar LMS support both learners and administrators. The Learning Buddy can answer learners’ questions about approved course content, help them find information within a course, and recommend relevant learning modules. It only considers content for which the learner has access permissions.

In the administration area, “Necti”—an AI-powered assistant—is available to answer questions about using the system. In addition, the AI assists with tasks such as automatically generating descriptions and preview images, providing translations, and creating subtitles for videos. Tests can also be translated, and comments can be automatically reviewed before any suspicious submissions are forwarded to moderation if necessary.

Flexible integration and secure operation

nectar LMS is suitable for both smaller teams and large-scale learning environments with a large number of users. The platform can be deployed as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or self-hosted. For the SaaS version, hosting is available in Germany. AES encryption, TLS-encrypted data transfers, and regular backups help protect sensitive data.

Another key focus is accessibility. Features such as high-contrast displays, scalable font sizes, and screen reader support make it easier for diverse user groups to access digital learning resources.

With nectar LMS, you gain a central platform that allows you to integrate digital learning content, seminars, professional development processes, and certifications. If you’d like to explore how nectar LMS can be integrated into your existing learning and IT infrastructure, you can work with the provider to familiarize yourself with the platform based on your specific requirements.
