We are a North German manufacturing and trading company in the field of energy technology and are looking for a financial planning tool. We develop, manufacture (final assembly), and distribute energy technology (hardware components and associated software).
The solution should meet the following requirements:
- Financial planning including individual modeling, e.g., for production, etc.
- Scenario calculation at the touch of a button
- Budget planning (model cases without financing, with financing of various types; P&L)
- Complete debt capital module (various interest, repayment, and loan options)
- Controlling
- Reporting with clear monthly and quarterly reports
- Simple input (various options, individual, e.g., development, various costs)
- Start of planning period freely selectable (old PLAN values then become ACTUAL values)
- Personnel planning (various departments, new hires and requirements, personnel cost calculation (salaries, FTE calculation)
- In general, everything is possible in a TARGET-ACTUAL comparison and there are always plausibility checks via, for example, a KPI system
- Depreciation module (annual, monthly, also during the year)
- Graphical evaluations of target/actual or P&L
- Production modeling, interface to supply chain (warehouse planning, production, inventory, material costs, and transfer to working capital)
- Production cost controlling (costs per thermostat, cost reduction through research and development, price changes, gross margins)
- Connection to current accounting system (possibly something else in the future)
- Option to bring accounting in-house at a later date, including complete digital document capture
- Ideally, connection to CRM and invoicing from CRM and definition of different customer types depending on size, region, etc.
- Connection to the account for live cash flow planning
- Possibly even payment connection to the account (i.e., digital document capture, automated reading of invoice data, and creation of transfer templates)
- Possibly integrated error check (for conflicting data entries)
One to five software workstations are planned. MS Windows systems will be used.
