We are an international manufacturing and trading company in the field of mechanical engineering and are looking for a document management system (DMS).
The solution should meet the following requirements:
- Intelligent search (indexing, full-text search function, limiting the search to specific file types, tagging files)
- Linking of documents in different folders
- Sending public links and links to specific user groups
- Bulk upload or download of files
- Note or comment function for files
- Archive function
- Multilingual (e.g., German, English, Russian, Spanish)
- All (common) file types (e.g., text, movies, photos, e.g., *.dxf, *.dwg design formats) should be readable
- Insight into what was downloaded by whom and when
- Different assignment of write and read permissions per folder or file
- Folders that users do not have access to are not visible
- Security aspects - Encryption of data if necessary, password protection
- Unlimited number of users
- Global access possible, web-based
- No pre-installed software required (WebDAV - connect a network drive to the DMS via the Internet and connect via Windows Explorer)
- Customization options, layout User interface can be adapted to the needs of the tenderer, e.g., company logo
- Should run stably so that not so many updates are necessary
Approximately 100 software workstations are planned.
