Automotive manufacturer seeks management software for control unit software and hardware components

We are the consulting firm of a German automobile manufacturer and are looking for management software to manage the software versions of control unit software and hardware components of the control units. The software should run in various IT environments and manage data relating to the product life cycles of the vehicle control units (PLM).

We have the following requirements:

• Mapping of a “parts list” or BOM (software bill of materials) of the software components of the control unit software (very important)
• Audit-proof management and archiving of software (components) and data records (also very important)
• Associated hardware components of the control units should also be able to be maintained for the respective software version
• Traceability of activities with or on a software version
• Reporting of activities (activity tracing on software versions)
• Archiving and management in accordance with ISO26262 (automotive)
• Additional “standard functions” such as role/authorization concept, import/export function (APIs), etc.

Adaptation to further requirements should be possible. As the market analysis (pre-selection) is to be completed this year if possible, we ask potential providers to contact us as soon as possible.

Approximately 50-90 software workstations are planned.
