We are a management consultancy and are looking for an LMS (Learning Management System) solution for a training company (B2B). The software should serve as a platform to enable the international rollout of e-learning and support the management of blended learning (supplementary face-to-face events).

The software should meet the following requirements:

Specifically:

  • Scalability – max. participants per rollout (concurrency limit)
  • Language availability
  • Accessibility (screen reader, colors, scalability/zoom, contrasts, navigation)
  • Roles and rights, organizational structure, delegation options
  • Profiling (questions to divide learners into groups and provide different content)
  • Annual declaration “I have read this”
  • Independent participant management (customer)
  • Self-registration of learners (including privacy policy)
  • Independent course selection
  • Automated emails from the LMS (including scheduler, registration, enrollment, reminders, confirmation, escalation emails)
  • Ad hoc emails from the LMS with filter options for distribution lists
  • Inactivity can be managed (maternity leave, parental leave, long-term illness, sabbatical leaves)
  • Blended learning administration (curriculum, dependencies, and prerequisites)
  • Reporting dashboard (learning progress overview) with parameters
  • Reporting functionality and export formats
  • Escalation report (tracking of defaulting learners)
  • Audit trail (log) / change log

General:

  • Content integration - SCORM, AICC, xAPI (Tin Can API), etc.
  • Single sign-on (SSO)

  • Provider conducts admin training
  • Provider provides FAQ
  • Service Level Agreement - SLA
  • If SaaS/cloud, then server location in Germany, subject to the BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act) and working with ADV (order data processing) as standard; data center certified according to ISO 27001 based on IT-Grundschutz
  • Alternatively, installation on own server

In addition to managing learners, reporting on training measures is also particularly important.
