We are a private clinic in southern Germany and are looking for a solution for our clinic catering that is tailored to our needs.

Situation: Patients stay for three to six weeks and have individual diet plans, choosing their lunch (2 menus to choose from) each day at breakfast the day before. The restaurant has 5 stations with fixed seating arrangements (tables for 4 and tables for 2).

The software must store the patients, the station and table arrangements, the individual diet plans, and the daily menu selection. Ideally, it should include pop-up warnings if the daily selection does not match the individual diet plan.

As soon as the patient enters the restaurant, the waiter orders their meal. The order should be forwarded directly to the kitchen, where it is printed out with the following information: patient name, room number, table number, ward number (there are 5 stations in the restaurant), diet plan, menu selection, special requests (comment field). The printout is sent back to the service together with the meal. For billing purposes, we need a printout of the patient's orders that are not included, such as a glass of wine or beer or their guest's meal.

Additional requirements to be met would be:

  • In the future, drink vouchers should be sent to a bar and only hot meals to the kitchen.
  • Optional – support for mobile devices.
  • Windows compatible.

Seven software workstations are planned.

Based on the specific requirements, the following solutions can be considered:

NEXUS / FOODCARE
DEVWARE GmbH
