We are a printing and logistics service provider (parcel shipping, and in some cases pallets) and are looking for parcel and freight forwarding software. Regional shipping is handled in-house, while parcel services and freight carriers are used for worldwide shipping.

The software should meet the following requirements:

  • Creation of parcel labels, which are recorded in the ERP system – as well as feedback of the shipment number to the ERP database
  • Cancellation of parcel labels, loading list, data transfer to service providers
  • Query of transit times or surcharges, e.g., for outlying areas (where available via web service)
  • Our purchase prices and list prices for parcel services can be queried via web service (depending on availability) or imported into the local ERP database (e.g., manual update once a month).
  • Tracking options and corresponding feedback of statuses to the ERP system
  • Booking of imports or freight transport, even for other pickup addresses (= directly at the customer's premises)
  • Possible online customer access for shipping booking, parcel tracking, etc.
  • Multi-client capable (multiple locations with different customer numbers or routing tables – e.g., different depots at DPD)
  • Printing on different label printers (different locations)
  • On-premises or web-based or cloud solution possible

One software workstation is planned.

Based on the specific requirements, the following solutions can be considered:
