For our company, which designs and sells remote-controlled model cars, we are looking for an inventory management system with an online shop connection. We also purchase various accessories from different suppliers and offer these through our online shop. We also have a relatively large warehouse for raw parts. We use these raw parts (e.g., screws, ball bearings, wheel axles, etc.) to “manufacture” the individual assemblies for the construction kit using parts lists. Once all assemblies have been manufactured, the construction kit is booked using another parts list. Only this is then to appear in the online shop. However, we do not use any operational data collection or work time recording systems; booking is done manually (booking production orders), so a regular production module would be significantly oversized. All sales items are also booked from the individual spare parts via the parts list and are only then ready for sale.

We have the following requirements for the software, which should be met:

  • Customer management (B2B and B2C – dealers, wholesalers, end customers)
  • Supplier management
  • Warehouse management
  • Merchandise management and the online shop should come from a single source if possible – online shop integrated into merchandise management or as an add-on module, interface to online shop would also work
  • We have three customer groups, each with their own price structure – end customers, retailers, wholesalers. The online shop should be usable for all customer groups and display the respective price, gross for end customers, net for retailers and wholesalers.
  • The shopping cart should be savable in the online shop. We have sales partners in various countries, and orders with 80-100 different items are not uncommon. The save function would therefore be extremely helpful for our wholesale customers.
  • Furthermore, it must be possible to store item-related special prices or discounts or even product group-specific discounts for each individual customer.
  • The online shop should have a responsive template and also be optimized for mobile devices.
  • Windows-compatible

In total, we need 5 permanent access points to the merchandise management system.
