Internet service provider seeks accounting and billing software

We are an internet service provider and are developing an online platform with paid content. Payments are processed through a payment service provider.

For this purpose, we are looking for accounting software that can be integrated with a payment service provider and an online store. Invoices are issued through the service provider, but we also want to be able to generate invoices directly through the software. In addition to double-entry bookkeeping, we also require balance sheet reporting and, ideally, the ability to forward data to the tax office.

We receive all collected customer payments from the payment service provider and must forward these payments to subcontractors. Before forwarding the payments to the subcontractors, we deduct various commissions from the amounts received from the payment service provider. We are the ones issuing invoices to the customers.

We now need software that can assign all purchases to different subcontractors and then offset them against the payments received from the payment service provider and forward them. We essentially act as a marketplace here - that is, as a platform operator - collecting the money and forwarding it.

We will start with one single workstation.

Since the requirements are very specific, this functionality would need to be programmed. Initially, only certain journal entries following the same pattern will be generated, which can be transferred to an accounting system (e.g., for a tax advisor). We see the development focus more in data provision or extraction for the payment service providers’ interfaces and the assignment of customers and subcontractors. Traditional accounting systems do not cover this. We are therefore focusing our search on a suitable IT service provider.
