We are an industrial company in the chemical sector (contract manufacturer) and are looking for cost-effective software for calculating the manufacturing costs of chemical products; a master database with individual raw materials and their prices, and a master database with formulations from individual raw materials. Overview of price changes for the end product when raw material prices change, with traceability (price of end product before and after price change of individual raw materials/components). We are ISO 9001:2015 certified.

The following requirements – listed again – must be met:

  • Calculation of product prices based on raw material prices, manufacturing costs, and packaging costs. The basis is formulations with a variety of different raw materials and respective raw material quantities (e.g., raw material 1, price: 3 euros/kg, quantity: 0.250 g/kg; raw material 2, price 5.00 euros/kg, quantity 0.750 g/kg plus packaging costs per unit and production costs per kg and conversion to the corresponding container size, e.g., 25 kg/200 kg/1000 kg).
  • The basis should ideally be a database containing the individual raw materials and their costs, and a database containing formulations in which the individual raw materials are stored with the required quantities. If raw material prices change, this change must be taken into account in the raw material costs of the formulations and the change must be visible (new/old).
  • Traceability of product price changes
  • Cost-effective
  • Runs in a Windows environment
  • Can be used with a database (e.g., SQL, Oracle)

A maximum of three software workstations are planned.
