As a leading hospital in northern Germany, we are heavily involved in a medical project study. The software we are looking for must meet the following requirements:
First and foremost, we need software that can be used to plan a study for the examiners and participants. Participants spend around eight hours at the study center, moving between different rooms for various examinations. Participants have an iPad or a piece of paper in their folder showing where their next examination will take place. The examiners have a similar schedule. Based on their skills and specializations, they can see when they are assigned to which rooms for which examinations. This results in the following groups:
Researchers -> Skills, times, rooms, participants
Participants -> Examination, times, rooms
Rooms -> Examination, times, participants, researchers
The greatest effort here is spontaneous rescheduling when a researcher or participant does not show up or is not available. Therefore, a modular shifting of time slots would be very helpful.
It would be nice to have the schedules distributed as a website. These could be accessed from any workstation or iPad. Editing takes place centrally in one place and is automatically updated when a new change is approved.
Another key requirement is that no online connection is possible due to the hospital IT system's double-protected network. The website should therefore be hostable locally. In extreme emergencies, it should be possible to activate a specific website. A cloud solution is not an option.
Approximately 35 software workstations are planned. Work is carried out in an MS Windows system landscape.
