We are a major costume rental company (also retail and tailoring) and are looking for rental software (including a cash register) for clothing rentals. We have approximately 2,000 rental and retail items in our portfolio.
The software should meet the following requirements (use cases), among others:
- Customer database (CRM)
- Name, address, etc.
- Photo, ID card (front and back)
- Clothing size, if applicable
- Customer rents something
- Transfer customer data to database
- Select products that are rented and add them together on an invoice
- Note whether a deposit has been made or whether the full amount has been paid
- Transfer to cash register program, which prints the invoice
- Customer returns item -> find open transaction for Mr. Mustermann
- Mark Mr. Mustermann as returned
- If necessary, charge extension fee for late returns
- View rental processes and to-dos
- What needs to be picked up and when?
- What is ready (mark transaction as ready, ironed, etc.)?
- What still needs to be prepared and by when?
- What has been returned on time?
- What is still outstanding (needs to be reminded)?
- What is in the cleaners and what has been returned from the cleaners?
- Statistics
- How much turnover did each department generate (women's, men's, costumes, traditional costumes)? -> This should be easy because these are also the product categories.
- How much turnover did we generate with which product?
- How much revenue did each salesperson generate?
- Connection
- User-friendly
- On-premises or cloud
- No cash register hardware required—only cash register software or function
Two software workstations are planned. MS Windows systems are used.
