We are a North German company specializing in automation and switchgear construction and are looking for a project time tracking system.

The time tracking system should meet the following requirements:

  • Project time tracking, executable
    • via terminal, as well as
    • via app (iOS, Android), as well as
    • via browser - at the computer workstation
  • Interface to the existing merchandise management system
    • Import of project names, numbers, start dates, customers
    • Export of project time entries
  • Support for an annual average of approx. 450 projects
  • 12 activities must be stored for each project
  • All employees (approx. 50 in total) must be able to clock in for all projects
  • Projects must be bookable within minutes (current solution – project numbers are assigned in advance in the time recording system. The project data is added when transferred from the merchandise management system. However, the project can already be booked without this data).
  • An approval structure for absence and correction requests is necessary
  • Vacation and overtime management
  • Switching to a different merchandise management system is not an option
  • Resource planning could also be considered as an additional option

Approximately 50 users are planned for software workstations. Work is carried out in an MS Windows system environment.

Based on the specific requirements, the following solutions can be considered:
