We operate a five-shift model at our police stations, with up to 15 employees per shift, and are looking for a shift scheduler for this role.

Graphical representation of the individual duty groups A–F with their corresponding shifts for every day of the week throughout the year, on a 5-week cycle. The sequence of shifts for a duty group is always the same: late-early-night-Off-Off-Off. Furthermore, minimum staffing levels must be taken into account for each individual shift, depending on the weekday, public holiday, or weekend holiday.

This means minimum staffing levels in

  • the late shift
  • Mon–Sat: 8; Sun and public holidays: 7
  • In the early shift
  • Mon–Sat: 7; Sun and public holidays: 6
  • In the night shift
  • Mon–Thu and Sun: 1st half (until 1:00 a.m.): 8; 2nd half (1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.): 6
  • Fri and Sat: 8 throughout

Approximately 60–75 software workstations are planned.
