We are a global mechanical engineering company (development and production) and are looking for a production planning and control system (PPS system) for contract manufacturing and small series production.
The software should meet the following requirements:
- Capacity planning (personnel)
- Capacity balancing (personnel, possibly materials)
- Delivery date confirmation/change notification when orders are entered in sales
- Identification of capacity bottlenecks in production
- Setting different priorities in series production
- A product configurator is not essential
- Not too costly
- Does not need to be multi-client capable
- Not a 2-year project for which ALL master data must first be extracted (master data is partially outdated, but data from bottleneck workstations should suffice); the new system should be able to manage with less data
- If possible, no NEW software (i.e., not complicated, integrable into the existing system)
- The system should be easy to set up
- SAP software and an MES are available (compatibility)
- Windows-compatible
10-15 software workstations are planned.
