Measurement and control technology company seeks order management software

We are a medium-sized company specializing in measurement and control technology in the refrigeration, heating, and ventilation industry and require software for ordering items. We currently use a program that was written by a former employee. However, we have changed our operating systems and are currently setting up a new CAD program, which means that the program will soon be incompatible.

We therefore require software with the following features:

• Import an item list exported from a CAD program (Excel, text, or XML).
• An item master is not necessary, but if available, there must also be an import function for it (CSV, text, or XML).
• The software should summarize the imported item list in a project and sort it by supplier.
• The program must be able to export in different formats (pdf and xls required, mdb and txt optional).

Ideally, the program should automatically send the orders to the suppliers after verification (by email or fax). However, this function is not essential.

The program will only be used by two to three people, but approximately six additional people must be able to import article lists.
