Our client's company is in the skilled trades sector. The company employs 10 people and has been managed by the managing partner since its foundation.
With the aim of securing sustainable business results and preparing a succession plan for the managing partner, processes within the company are to be made more transparent with the help of modern IT systems, potential for improvement identified, and appropriate measures implemented.
The first step is to digitize the organizational/commercial processes. To this end, the existing order processing program is to be replaced by new software.
The main requirements are:
- The existing customer database with contact details is to be imported.
- Existing material parts lists can be transferred.
- A price catalog with item-related flat rates can be created and maintained.
- An order list with clearly identifiable order numbers can be maintained.
- Hours worked can be booked to orders or, alternatively, to overhead costs.
- Hours can be recorded decentrally, e.g., on multiple PCs or smartphones.
- Hours worked can be marked as “billable” and are automatically included in the invoice.
- The program can be used independently of a closed merchandise management system.
- There is an evaluation per project of the planned, actual, and invoiced costs per project.
- There is an evaluation per employee of all hours per day.
- Windows-compatible
- Network-compatible
One software workstation is planned for the time being, but this is to be expanded soon to a small LAN with three software workstations.
