Internationally active financial services company seeks an MDM solution for master data management

We are an international financial services company and are looking for a suitable MDM tool for an MDM (Master Data Management) project.

We are currently using an in-house solution that is tailored precisely to our needs. However, we are reaching the limits of this system and require additional functionality. In particular, the GUI is not user-friendly.

The software should meet the following requirements:

• Windows environment (MS-SQL Server)
• Freely configurable data model, metadata capture, support for an OO approach, inheritance of attribute structures and relationships
• Bitemporal data storage at the attribute level
• Multilingual data storage at the attribute level; for example, the product name must be storable in any number of languages
• GUI is automatically generated based on the metadata (data structure)
• Easy navigation through the data structure

The following points can also be covered by one or more additional products

• Definition of business rules for data quality checking
• Data import/export capabilities, interfaces/APIs
• Workflow functions

Central to this is the storage of data and management of metadata. The requirements regarding bi-temporal and multilingual data storage at the attribute level can only be met if the data is stored in a vertical structure. Businesses capture data from the present into the future and also make changes retroactively. To achieve this, each attribute value must be stored with a validity date, modification date, and language code.
