We are an internationally active logistics company and are looking for freight forwarding software that specializes in handling international sea and air freight transactions.

Air Freight

Establishing common data standards is essential for integration between service providers and subcontractors. The software must therefore support connections via the CHAMP/Traxon protocol.

Consequently, order entry, calculation, and the resulting data exchange must be mapped in a traceable manner.

Transport orders, flight data, and export certificates must be generated as documents and forwarded to the responsible parties. In light of customer requirements, the display of status updates in a structured format must be enabled, as well as the display of current reservations, bookings, and a real-time flight schedule query.

Sea Freight

Similar requirements apply here as for air freight, particularly the existing capability to connect to various Port Community Systems (PCS) such as:

  • BHT (Bremen Port Telematics)
  • WHT (Wilhelmshaven Telematics Platform)
  • ZAPP (Customs Clearance in the Paperless Port, a customs procedure)

To facilitate container handling and, in turn, meet the information needs of every organization involved in the supply chain, the following information must be accessible via the system:

  • Container information such as: ATB number and location data, container type &, if applicable, dangerous goods information, mode of transport, transport history, and booking numbers
  • Container status: Port status, customs status, information on transport readiness
  • Actions related to containers: transport notifications, customs notifications, notifications of status changes via email

VGM data must be able to be forwarded directly from the system to shipowners and/or brokers.

Additional requirements include:

  • ATLAS (customs clearance)
  • Logistics expertise of the partner company
  • New technology stack (no outdated programming languages, at least 3-tier architecture)
  • XML interfaces
  • Interface to the financial accounting system in use
  • Central data master
  • Software in German and English, as well as optionally in Polish
  • Windows-compatible

Up to 200 workstations are planned, including locations in Germany, Poland, and Malaysia.
