We are a food wholesaler in southern Germany and are looking for a replacement for our existing warehouse management software, which is reaching its limits. Our product range includes cheese, sausage, and antipasti, among other items. Our warehouse is on one level and is chaotically managed. It has approximately 800 items in a 300 square meter space.
We have the following requirements for the solution:
The software should process orders generated by the office using the SelectLine merchandise management program. Items are pre-picked using handwritten notes.
There are items sold by the piece or by weight that now need to be entered into the system. Weights are weighed on scales, entered manually, or transferred to the system by scanning the barcode that contains the weight.
Optionally, a label with ingredients must also be printed when the item is entered into the system. It must also be possible to manually add a best-before date (BBD) as an option. Items should be selected by scanning the barcode in the order.
The solution must be Windows-compatible and have an interface to the merchandise management program.
The software is used at a fixed workstation with a touch PC, scale, label printer, and barcode scanner.
Six software licenses are planned for the warehouse.
