Development and production company seeks software for (assembly) process planning and 3D simulation

As an Austrian supplier, we develop and produce components for the automotive industry. Initially, we are only looking for software for process planning and simulation (assembly process), including the associated logistics process, for one of our locations. A possible expansion to other locations is conceivable. Currently, processes and costs are planned in MS Excel.

We have the following requirements for the software:

• Planning of the assembly process (including direct connection to BOM (bill of materials) and other framework conditions)
• Planning of the time required for each work step – focus on plausibility and uniform planning
• Pacing and bottleneck analysis
• Planning of the required assembly equipment, including associated cost blocks if possible
• Simulation of the assembly process (3D)
• Performing feasibility checks (product, process)
• Optimization of ergonomics and routes using a human model (e.g., by moving materials or production equipment to another location, adjusting table heights, etc.)
• Derivation of layouts (production line, materials)
• Derivation of work instructions
• Focus on usability, cost-effectiveness, and consistent planning
• Multiple product variants must be mappable (e.g., high and low equipment variants)
• Traceability of changes – consistent data (e.g., product and process BOM linked)
• Windows-compatible

At least 15 software workstations are planned in the first rollout stage
