We run a translation agency in Austria with a lot of walk-in customers. The customer submits a document for translation, makes a down payment and pays the rest on collection. It is not possible to say exactly how much is left in advance, as the exact number of lines is only known after completion. Now we handwrite an order form with the down payment.
I have also thought about integrating a scanner. So when the order is completed, you could call up the order with the scan code and enter the rest. On collection, the customer shows their order form again and the prepared invoice can then be printed out. When researching on the Internet, we noticed that there are only programs for the catering and retail sectors, but none for services.
The solution should include the following functions:
Such a program could be kept quite general, where each service provider (cleaning, watchmaker, repair provider, etc.) could put together his own service via a mask.
Note from SoftGuide:
We have not found any POS software in our database that is offered specifically for services without the usual additional functions. In addition to the roughly suitable solutions suggested, we are also looking for a “smaller” special order processing solution with a cash register function.
