Our company's core business is pipeline construction for the pharmaceutical and food industries, both in the context of large-scale projects and annual framework agreements for smaller jobs. Currently, the company does not have a system for day-to-day business and project management - it often works with a combination of Excel documents and SharePoint Online storage. For this reason, we are looking for an ERP system. There are special features such as the mapping of isometrics, batch traceability, mapping of TAG numbers, etc., as well as some very high requirements for quality management and the storage of the corresponding documents, which must also be handed over to the customer as part of the customer documentation. It should be possible to store the documents from within the ERP system, ideally including the assignment of keywords and storage on SharePoint.
The following functional areas should be covered:
- Purchasing; the minimum version for financial accounting will have to remain in SAP
- Sales; at least for day-to-day business – the handling of large projects still needs to be clarified, but ideally this should also be possible in the system.
- Production
- Ordering; the minimum version for financial accounting will have to remain in SAP.
- Warehouse management
- Bill of materials management
- Batch management
- Customer management; at least a minimum version in the system would be desirable, as only Outlook and SharePoint are currently used
- Quotations; at least for day-to-day business – the handling of large projects still needs to be clarified, but ideally this should also be possible in the system
- Order management
- Project management
- Time recording
- Resource management; assignment of personnel to projects or framework agreements
- Personnel management; with regard to qualifications and training (e.g., welding certificates)
- Controlling; at least project controlling within the scope of day-to-day business – ideally, however, also the controlling of large projects
- Quality management; at least a minimal version in the system would be desirable (e.g., in connection with goods receipt inspections, customer acceptance reports, etc.)
- Reporting
- Financial accounting, payroll accounting, and asset management are NOT required
- Interfaces to SAP (financial accounting) and possibly to a time recording system that is yet to be introduced (the system has not yet been decided, but one is definitely needed and will therefore also be introduced in the coming months)
Other software requirements:
- Local installation or cloud application
- Windows-compatible
- Mobile connection should be possible
- The use of online and offline scanners and the processing of barcodes should be possible
Approximately 50 software workstations are planned.
Important: We expect reference customers in pipeline construction whose software displays isometrics.
