For our architectural firm, we are specifically looking for construction monitoring and documentation software for construction logging (construction log), including defect tracking.

The software must meet the following requirements:

  • Construction log
    • Daily weather conditions (preferably not manually entered)
    • Companies and employees present on the construction site
    • The project must be divisible into construction phases with corresponding filter and search options (by company, phase, defects)
    • References to defect management
    • Option to add notes (voice memo with conversion to text, images, document attachment)
    • Catalog for participating companies and employees, including contact details
    • Storage of minutes and meeting notes (searchable by participating companies and employees) and storage or reference to construction phase, date, etc.
  • Defect management
    • Store photos
    • Voice memos (preferably with convert to text)
    • “Ticket” system for tracking open issues + option to store documents or responses during processing (several steps if necessary!) -> Subsequent export as Word, Excel, or PDF
    • Assignment to plan (ideally import from dxf and recognition of rooms) -> Tracking of defects by floor or room
    • Automatic query of date, time, object, name of person who created the log
  • Synchronization with Outlook (contacts) if necessary
  • Email dispatch desirable
