Key framing

What is meant by Key framing?

"Key-framing" is an animation technique where specific keyframes are set to define the position, rotation, scaling, or other properties of an object over time. These keyframes serve as reference points between which the software automatically creates in-between frames to produce a smooth animation. Key-framing is used in various fields such as animation, video editing, motion graphics, and 3D modeling to create complex movements or effects.

Typical features of software in the "Key-framing" area include:

  1. Setting keyframes: The software allows setting keyframes at specific points in time on the timeline to define the start and end points of an animation or movement.

  2. Property control: There are tools to control various properties such as position, rotation, scaling, color, or opacity of an object for each keyframe.

  3. Curve editing: The ability to edit the interpolation between keyframes by adjusting motion curves to refine the animation and control the motion flow.

  4. Temporal adjustment: The software provides features for temporal adjustment of keyframes, such as moving, copying, or deleting keyframes to optimize the animation.

  5. Keyframe interpolation: There are options to select different interpolation methods between keyframes, such as linear, Bezier curves, or splines, to achieve different motion effects.

  6. Export and integration: The ability to export the animated sequences or effects into various formats and integrate them into other projects or software applications.
