01box UG (haftungsbeschränkt) develops software solutions for security and guarding companies, focusing on the digitalisation of operational and administrative processes within the security industry. Its core functions cover areas such as duty and deployment planning, personnel allocation, time tracking, guard tour monitoring, documentation and invoicing. The aim is to bring together tasks that have traditionally been organised using spreadsheets, paper, telephone calls and various standalone solutions into seamless digital processes.

The solutions are designed for security companies operating across a range of fields, including property protection, event security, retail security and shop detective services, construction site security, hospitality security, trade fair security, hospital security and personal protection. The software takes into account industry-specific requirements such as changing locations, short-notice staffing requirements, night and weekend shifts, as well as the verification of required qualifications.

A key focus is rules-based deployment planning. When assigning personnel, factors such as availability, qualifications, scheduling conflicts, rest periods and maximum working hours can be taken into account. In the event of short-notice absences, automation supports the search for and contacting of suitable replacement staff. Mobile time tracking, geofencing-based clock-ins and clock-outs, and digital checkpoints also enable the activities actually carried out to be documented in a traceable manner. Patrols and incidents can be recorded with timestamps, photographs and QR- or NFC-based verification.

In addition, 01box connects operational deployment data with subsequent administrative processes. Verified working hours can be prepared for the calculation of supplements and forwarded to payroll; DATEV exports support data exchange with financial and payroll accounting systems. Clients can be given their own access to view information about sites, deployments and service records.

Data protection and data security are designed into the platform architecture. Measures mentioned include strict tenant separation at database level, encrypted data transmission and backups, multi-factor authentication, and privacy-conscious location tracking without continuous employee monitoring. The user interfaces are available in 15 languages, supporting multilingual workforces.
