As a self-storage company, we offer mobile storage rooms in the form of containers, among other things. These containers are currently stacked three high in a block storage facility and arranged in a chaotic manner. Searching for the boxes requires more space within the block storage facility and is also very time-consuming. The warehouse can hold approx. 500-1000 of these mobile boxes when optimally stored and should be stored in a chaotic manner with appropriate IT logistics.
We are looking for a small logistics system for our various “mobile boxes” that will simplify the search for the boxes. We do not need a complex storage system, but rather a small solution with a program that works with a maximum of 1-3 scanners. The corresponding mobile box should be scanned from the forklift and processed with a storage address in the block storage. The warehouse clerk uses the program to find the storage location of the box. We are currently planning to have around 500-1000 mobile boxes in various sizes. Unfortunately, our sales program does not have an interface for warehouse logistics. Therefore, a small solution should work independently.
Approximately 1-3 workstations are planned.
