Manufacturing company seeks freight forwarding software with route planning and optimization

We are a manufacturer of exclusive plumbing products and would like to use software to support local product delivery. We are looking for shipping software that includes route planning and optimization, as well as track and trace functionality. The software will be made available to our three partner carriers and other carriers we plan to engage in the future.

The software should include the following features:

• Order import including company name, order number, delivery address, number of packages, and delivery date
• Import interface, as easy to configure as possible (data delivery via MS Excel file)
• Track & Trace with at least the following statuses:
• Received at depot
• In delivery
• Confirmation of receipt
• Notes such as e.g., customer not found, acceptance refused, etc.
• Tracking status determination, preferably using mobile devices such as smartphones
• Web-based

Currently, 2–3 software workstations are planned for each of the three freight forwarders.
