Manufacturing and trading company seeks ERP

We are a trading company for special metal products, which today primarily purchases and sells (raw) goods and also processes some of them with our own machines or has them manufactured into finished products externally on a contract basis. In the future (planned for 2019/2020), there will be a new area in which products will be manufactured in-house using a special process in our own melting furnace. Certain recipes, regulations, and various standards will have to be observed here. Customers will come from the aerospace industry, for example, but also from the automotive sector. We currently use a merchandise management system with a simple warehouse tool attached to it. Functions for issuing reworking orders (contract work) are available. In order to be able to handle future tasks, we are looking for a system that will also cover the manufacture of the new product. Theoretically, it would be conceivable to simply add a production tool to our existing system, but we suspect that it would make more sense to replace the existing system with a complete solution.
