We are active in the logistics industry and are looking for suitable multi-project management software.
It is primarily important to us that the software can graphically display employee utilization and project progress so that department heads have an overview of their employees' resources when assigning projects and tasks.
The following requirements for the software have been identified:
Capacity
- Employee capacity planning - Adherence to personnel resources
- Vacation planning - Consideration of vacation when assigning tasks
- Time recording - Display of work performed/hours worked (actual value)
- Advance planning - Display of expected work/hours still to be performed for the next period
- Tasks and shares - View of the various tasks within a project. Insight into which employee is responsible for which tasks
- Retrieving employee information - Each employee has information stored in the system that can be retrieved at the touch of a button
Project
- Transparency of ongoing projects - Display of project progress by start and delivery date
- Mapping content dependencies - Mapping dependencies between specific projects
- Structuring by groups (e.g., departments) - Option to display a specific department
- Show project priority - Classification into A, B, and C, for example. Sorting by importance
- Selection/grouping of projects - Selection based on strategic considerations and uniform criteria possible; selection of the project to be displayed
System
- Archiving - Past data should be viewable and analyzable at any time
- Interface compatibility - Availability of interfaces with other systems (SAP, Exchange, CRM, etc.)
- Web-based use - Use of an app instead of proprietary software
- Export of results to other formats - All views of a project can be exported to various MS Office formats, as XML, HTML, or PDF
- Graphical representation - Option to display evaluation results in graphs
- Link to PJM software – PM tool tasks can be completed and data can be transferred
- Compliance – Tool should fit into the existing system environment
Individual project planning
- Project planning and control – Projects can be planned and simulated in the system
- Protocols – Record meeting content with responsibilities
- Quality and risk management – compliance with the specified quality while minimizing the given risks
- Scheduling – adherence to the time frame
- Cost overview – monitoring and highlighting costs
- Graphical representation of project scheduling – using GANTT charts as an example
Approximately 20 software workstations are planned.
