RUPLAN - the software solution for utilities and the automotive industry

RUPLAN (computer-aided plan processing) is an industry-neutral complete solution for electrical CAE. The software is designed for the efficient creation of electrotechnical documentation. It is characterized by high usability and great flexibility in adapting to standard-, country- or company-specific requirements. The standardized symbols in the basic symbol library were created on the basis of the DKE (German Commission for Electrotechnical, Electronic, and Information Technologies of DIN and VDE) master file according to DIN-EN 60617 (IEC 60617).

The special feature of RUPLAN

The CAD software is data compatible and future-proof. RUPLAN's special API allows users to create or adapt individual evaluations, their own lists or documents, and to make project-wide changes to the data. RUPLAN can create "intelligent" PDF files in which complete projects are compiled in a navigable format.

Where can RUPLAN be used?

RUPLAN can be used, for example, where electrical documentation is required in line with the requirements of the power supply company. In addition to the utility sector, RUPLAN is also used in plant engineering for automotive production due to its flexibility, or for the development of wiring systems in the automotive sector.

Energy supplier

Most of the substations in Germany were planned and documented with the help of RUPLAN EVU. The software is used wherever EVU-compliant electrical documentation is required. The system supports all current standards for the documentation of electrotechnical installations (e.g. the EVU standards).

Automotive

RUPLAN-KABI - efficient wiring system planning

RUPLAN-KABI is a system for the consistent planning of wiring harnesses that has proven itself over many years. The software includes all essential functionalities for the illustration of circuit diagrams up to the assembly board.

In the wiring harness drawings, the wiring data is automatically transferred from the circuit diagrams and the topology and mechanical accessories are displayed. The assembly boards can then be derived from these cable harness plans.

Railway vehicle planning

RUPLAN-LOC - Step by step to railway vehicle documentation

This industry-specific RUPLAN version was created for the rail vehicle industry and ensures, above all, the mapping of the special requirements for the wiring and cabling systems customary in the industry. In addition, RUPLAN/LOC supports the rail vehicle documentation FSF specified by the (technical) standards committee for rail vehicles.

For example, RUPLAN-LOC provides functions for line numbering and bundle assignment and generates lists for the manufacturing process.

Long-standing users in the commercial vehicle sector of the RUPLAN-KABI solution are, for example, MAN, IVECO or VDL, and in the special vehicles sector Rosenbauer, HAKO or KMW.

Users of the RUPLAN-LOC solution are both manufacturers such as Bombardier or Stadler the system and operators such as the Swiss Federal Railways SBB.
