Document management includes the database-supported creation and processing of documents, the input and output, the distribution as well as the archiving of documents. The abbreviation DMS means document management system. Consequently, it refers to the document management system that enables the assignment of individual documents to several subject areas. Indexed documents can be searched in full text using the search function. This search can be restricted to specific document types, i.e. you search exclusively in e-mails or documents, for example.
