The Data
UK-Info Pro V12 includes 30 Million Electoral Roll records, 17 million Directory Enquiry listings and 2.3 million company records, with classified search facilities as well as detailed UK street maps and a route planner.
XSearch
Search by name only, no location is required. Search for neighbours, search for people by relationship, i.e. find every John Smith that lives with a Mary Jones in the UK. Unsure of the spelling, use a wildcard (*), just enter the first three characters and every permutation will be returned.
Electoral Roll Searches
Now in its twelfth version, XSearch technology has continued to make UK-Info Disk one of the most powerful tools for locating individuals. Either enter the minimum criteria such as a name, street or town, or use our highly sophisticated proprietary search functions to refine your search.
Directory Enquiry Searches
In order to search for either a resident or a business, you must enter both a name and a location to return results. UK-Info Pro V12 includes 1,000 OSIS (telephone search credits) to search this database.
Business Searches
Search over 2.3 million business listings, provided by D&B. With classified search facilities, you don't even need a name, a business description will do, so enter plumber, with or without a location and every plumber will be listed alphabetically.
Maps/Routing
With detailed street maps for the whole of the UK, just click on a record to view a map. Zoom facilities are included. Alternatively, use the route plotter to plan your journey. Simply insert two postcodes to plot a route.

The Electoral Roll - our legal position, your legal position
Until November 2001 local authorities were free to sell the Electoral Roll to commercial companies. This changed following a legal challenge by an individual who objected to his data on the Electoral Roll being used for direct marketing purposes. Legislation is currently being enacted which results in two Electoral Rolls - the full version and the edited version.
The full Electoral Roll will be used only for electoral and credit reference purposes. The edited version is available to any company for any purpose but will exclude those people who opt-out of having their information sold to third parties.
However, the recent legislation only applies to Electoral Rolls published after 16 November 2001. The 2001 Electoral Roll data held on 192.com is the last full roll available before that date and is not covered by the new legislation. As such we are legally entitled to publish the data. You can also find the Electoral Role covering the past 4 years on 192.com.
Changes to the Human Rights Act and Data Protection Acts also state that any person who does not wish their details to be processed by a data controller, such as i-CD Publishing (UK) Ltd will have the right to have their details removed as and when is reasonably possible.
Since 1997, i-CD has operated its own proprietary record removal service. Known as a CO1 form, it allows any voter to request that their details be removed within a reasonable time frame. This is now a requirement incorporated into both the Human Rights and Data Protection Acts.
