Program Description:
JPedal is a 100% Java PDF developer library for viewing and printing PDF files and extracting text and graphics from PDF files. The library comes with a number of pre-built example applications allowing for rapid prototyping and integration into your own application. The JPedal library comes with support for Java SE, Java ME and Java FX as well as Flex, Applets and WebStart. Text can be extracted as either raw text or XML, and graphics can be exported in jpg, tiff and png formats. Thumbnail creation, PDF page export, batch extraction and advanced printing as well as e-book distribution options are useful assets of this library. The JPedal library can be integrated with the iText library for PDF creation capabilities. The latest GUI enhancements add natural page turning and snazzy browsing effects to PDF page display. The latest release is stable and is being constantly updated (http://www.jpedal.org/builds.php for details). Help is provided via JavaDocs, support forum and paid support options. Source code is available for OEM customers. The LGPL version is a cut-down version of the commercial release, and source code for this is also available (by providing email address). Target groups:
