ProGuard offers active security for your network. Using the flexible access rights management, you can regulate who is allowed to execute which types of programs and who isn’t. The installation of private software from home and of other unauthorized software, the execution of harmful script files and unauthorized access to unreleased programs is effectively prevented.
ProGuard provides active virus protection and safeguards your defined system environment.
ProGuard's integrated license management checks legal security and ensures maximal legal protection, limiting the access to software packages to the number of existing licenses. ProGuard supports most of the common license models and documents the usage of existing licenses with detailed statistics.
While Firewall and virus scanners protect your network from external dangers, PCs and laptops with CD drives, USB ports and Internet access pose a hazard from within the system. Unwelcome software, risky scripts, games or viruses can infiltrate your network. ProGuard's Access Management puts you in control of who can start specified applications and which applications are strictly forbidden. In this respect it makes no difference whether or not the client PC is connected to the network.

A broad selection of configuration options lets you distribute access and execution privileges as precisely as you need to. You can even restrict application access to particular times of day.
Even with this flexibility, ProGuard administration is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3 thanks to its intuitive user interface. Moreover, your very first steps in ProGuard are further simplified by the pre-defined application packages that come with the program.
With ProGuard you can block unwanted file types. This lets you prevent the infiltration of viruses through scripts. Of course, exceptions to the rule can be defined for files of the same type.
Even in the offline mode ProGuard provides reliable access protection, prevents illicit software from being installed and keeps blocked files from being executed. Even when the PC is not connected to the server, e.g. during the use of PCs outside the office, ProGuard assures compliance with defined access rules.

  Sharing of applications can be allotted for specific users, for groups, for particular IP address areas, for workstations and even for time intervals.
• User sharing according to a variety of criteria
  Applications can be individually authorized or as a packet. It is also possible, for instance, to authorize all applications that have been installed by a reliable user, e.g. from the administrator or a particular group of users.
• Offline function
