Smart Shelter is ideal for companies that regularly provide their customers with information from a subscription-based business model such as stock market analyses, tax tips, law journals, service manuals, etc. In addition this system is suitable for those who want to distribute confidential information only to certain target groups such as mobile employees or authorized customers.

The principle of SmartShelter is simple; the protected document can be delivered to the customer via CD-ROM, DVD or FTP server. Because of the complete encryption with Rijndael, the newest algorithm, it is impossible for an unauthorized person to read the document. The authorized person simply loads the data from the CD-ROM or other delivery source. The connected WIBU-BOX decrypts the data, which can be read later on the Internet Explorer. The unencrypted data is never saved on the hard disk and could not be sent around the world over the Internet. Also the saving, printing and transferring of unencrypted data can be optional deactivated. (SmartShelter can be used locally or within the network, though the number of users can be limited)

Using SmartShelter locally or within the network the number of users can be limited. Interfaces: USB, LPT, COM, PCMCIA.

Reprogramming is possible directly at the customer’s site via Remote Programming.
