Designed more for the end-user - employees, personal and home computer users as
well as IT professionals - this version is intended to enable individuals to
erase their own data simply and securely.

- Boot up, set-up, and go
DataEraser creates a self-bootable diskette. The diskette runs independently of
the operating system allowing use on all IBM compatible PCs - and all operating
systems. Initiate the program with easy-to-use menu options. Once menu
selections are complete the overwriting process can run unattended, or you can
monitor the progress through "Time Remaining" messages.
- Choose your drive
Overwrite specified partitions of a drive, or overwrite the entire drive.
DataEraser Professional Version is the only software with the ability to
overwrite both ATA/IDE and SCSI drives.
- Select your overwrite pattern
DataEraser Personal Version overwrites the drive with a single overwrite pass.
DataEraser Professional Version allows choice from four overwrite option
sequences: single pass overwrite, triple pass overwrite meeting U.S. Department
of Defense specifications, seven pass overwrite meeting German standards, user
defined number of overwrite passes (from one to ninety-nine) to exceed U.S.
Department of Defense and German standards.

Define the desired final overwriting pattern, or choose the default pattern.

DataEraser is designed for maximum overwrite speed.
- Overwrite everything
DataEraser overwrites all data including partitions, folders, directories,
files, file tables, dynamic drive overlays and boot record information. It
overwrites all viruses including boot sector viruses (when you choose to
overwrite the entire drive). DataEraser will overwrite the entire drive no
matter what BIOS capacity limitation the system may have. It is more complete
than re-formatting or re-partitioning the drive, which only erases the pointer
files (file allocation tables and root directory) for the data.
- Check the results
Choose a complete verification, which reads and verifies the entire drive, or a
quick verification, which verifies approximately 1% of the drive.
Personal Version verification produces a dialog box reporting the results of
the overwrite process.
Professional Version produces a Validation Certificate that includes the drive
model, serial number and a report of any bad blocks that could not be
overwritten.
View drive option offers a window into the drive to actually see the resulting
overwrite pattern.
