- Saving to PDF
OmniForm automatically creates a "fillable" PDF form when we save to PDF. This means that

each fillable field on PDF forms - a process that is required by Adobe Exchange. A new feature in
OmniForm 5.0 also automatically carries over the calculations, field validations and electronic

As with the OmniForm format, this form can be saved to a hard disk or an NT network. Saving to RTF
allows Microsoft Word users to open the form in Word and fill it out without needing to have

When a digital form is saved in OmniForm format, OmniForm Premium automatically creates a flat file
database for storing data. Each new use of the form, in OmniForm or in OmniForm Filler/Data
Manager, produces a new record for that form's database - up to 10,000 records per form. (If you
reach the limit, you can either give the form a new name or export its data to a new database.)
- Importing and exporting data
You can import and populate parts of your form from other databases. You can search and sort your
form data to find the vital information you want. OmniForm Premium supports exporting to databases
that accept either ODBC or tab-delimited formats. This covers most if not all of the major database
applications, including Microsoft Access, dBase, Sybase, Oracle, FoxPro, Paradox, DB2(IBM),
Microsoft SQL Server, Excel and Text-based & CSV files.
- Flexible field attribute capability
Unlike conventional databases, the OmniForm Form Database offers a flexible field attribute
capability. For example, a form may have a field defined as a date. In a conventional database,
only a single date would be permitted. But let's suppose that the person filling the form actually
did the activity over a range of dates instead of on a single date. By entering the date range, the
recipient of the form would have more useful information. OmniForm database fields with defined
field attributes may be overridden by the person filling the form, provided the designer of the
form allows the person filling the form to do this. Therefore, what would be easy to accomplish on
a paper form is mimicked with OmniForm. Many customers have told us this is a very valuable feature
and used often. The OmniForm database automatically adjusts itself to accommodate user initiated
field attribute changes.
- OmniForm database can be searched and sorted
Searches can include math logic including equal to, greater than, etc., the presence or absence of
data, and exact matches or "contains" logic. In short, you can quickly find just the
forms you are looking for within records of thousands of forms.
- Database fields can be exported to any ODBC database
OmniForm's database fields can be exported to any ODBC database. You can search for a precise set
of records and export individual or groups of fields. Once you define the export, you save it by
name so when you need it again it is easily recalled.
