TREPCAD works on the principle that you are modifying a predefined stairway design. By ther nature stairways have fixed and parametric relationships. Although stairway design has fundamental contraints there are many opportunities for creative solutions to moving from one level to another. TEPCAD allows you to explore these possibilities and produce accurate designs at the same time.

When you enter design information and make design selections, TREPCAD incorpates this information in the resulting stairway design. It suggests values and steeings where appropriate , but these inputs can be overidden at will by the designer, allowing him or her complete design freedom.

Designs can be viewed in 3D which is helpful for designers and clients alike.

TREPCAD produces fullly dimensioned design detail drawings and cutting lists with absolutley no requirement for drawing by the designer. It really is too easy.

All drawings may be printed in any dimension of paper sizes from DINA4 to endless paper (plotter). So even a normal deskjet printer is suitable. Dimensions and display can be adjusted to fit to paper size.

Layout variants

Profiles may be selected from profile lists. Straight stairs are also possible as prefabricated stairs with grate steps (also selectable from list box), display of strings with drillings. For beams/strings numerous variants for the bottom- and top-step are available.

Balancing Method
Stairs are automatically balanced, and each single step may be rotated freely. This can be done very accurately through display of front widths. The software automatically corrects the balancing and position of corner steps when situation is narrow.

Norms
All staircases are being checked for conformity with DIN 18065 / DIN EN ISO 14122-3 (may be de-activated). The static will not be checked. TREPCAD developers are keen to see TREPCAD comply with all worldwide stairway standards and input from international users is welcomed and addressed as a priority.

Landings
Each step may be turned into a landing by setting a fixed width going.

DXF-Export
You can export all 2D- and 3D-drawings including layers and colors to other CAD programs or to CNC machines. Special integration for AutoCAD, MegaCAD, Tenado, Prosteel, Komet and Metall S.

3D-Views
Photo-realistic display with material textures like wood or stone. The staircase may be freely rotated in space. May support the customer to visualize orientation (but also helps us).

PC Requirements
The software runs with all Windows versions starting with Windows XP. Generally a “normal office computer” is good enough. The 3D-display, however, only works for graphics board with installed OpenGL driver. A plotter is not necessarily needed.
