arpadi was developed to help doctors and patients bridge linguistic barriers. arpadi is a mobile interpreter for PDAs, enabling medically sound communication between doctors and patients that speak different languages. arpadi knows more than 400 of the most important medical formulations and questions used in clinical practice – in 13 languages – which can be read on the display and listened to in the native language of the patient.

arpadi facilitates interaction both with audio and visually. A clearly arranged display provides access to a visual anatomy chart and a picture dictionary while questions and medical terms are read aloud in the voice of native speaker. The questions, information and instructions are systematically organized and the clearly arranged user interface features simple menu selection allowing quick and easy use of the application in day-to-day practice.
