In 1989, CAD-PLAN was founded with the intention of providing designers and planners in the metal construction and facade technology industry with a specially tailored CAD system. In our decision for a CAD software on which ATHENA was to be based, AutoCAD was able to prevail over, for example, PC-Draft and Mega-CAD. In addition to the convincing technical functions, the ease of learning and the still existing market leadership of AutoCAD were the main reasons for our decision. The broad market penetration of AutoCAD in the construction industry facilitates the exchange of drawings, e.g. between planners, metalworkers and architects.

In the now more than 25 years of development and sales activities, we have grown into a system house that offers complete solutions for all aspects of design and planning. Individual consulting and versatile services complement our hardware and software solutions. Our close cooperation with an engineering office for metal construction and facade technology ensures the practical relevance of our products.
